Accessibility

What we have done

• Every part of the site works with a keyboard alone, and the item you're on is always visibly outlined.
• Text and background colours were checked with a contrast tool rather than judged by eye.
• Text scales to 200 percent, and the page reflows at 400 percent zoom without sideways scrolling.
• Photographs carry descriptions written for someone who can't see them.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, this site honours that.

Where it still falls short

Listing these is more useful to you than claiming they don't exist.

• The calendar is embedded from Google Calendar, which we don't control and can't fix. There's a direct link beneath it, and you can always email us for the schedule instead.
• Gallery photos are described by event rather than person. We don't name students in image descriptions.
• Older PDF documents were made before this site was rebuilt and may not read well with a screen reader. Ask us and we'll send you the contents another way.

Email board@desertridgebands.org with the address of the page and what went wrong. Tell us what you were trying to do and we'll either fix it or find you another way to get it done.
