Stephanie Campbell is in her sixteenth year of teaching at Desert Ridge High School. She has been the Director of Bands since Desert Ridge opened in 2002. Previous to her appointment at Desert Ridge, Campbell taught for two years at Mesquite High as Assistant Director of Bands.

Mrs. Campbell is an Arizona native from Tempe. Having graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in 1996, Mrs. Campbell went on to receive her Bachelors of Music Education degree from ASU in 2000. Since then, she received her Masters in Educational Leadership from NAU in 2002 and will soon be completing her Doctoral equivalent. Mrs. Campbell’s performance experiences include the Tempe Wind Symphony and Arizona Wind Symphony. Mrs. Campbell is married to her wonderful husband Chris and has three sons, Kellan, Grayson, and Aiden.



Brian Mabry received his Bachelor of Music Education at Arizona State University, where he studied clarinet with Robert Spring and Jorge Montilla and earned his Master of Arts in Band Conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. 

Mr. Mabry is currently the band director at Desert Ridge Junior High in Mesa, Arizona, where he teaches 7th and 8th grade concert band and jazz band. Under his direction, the concert bands have received multiple ratings of Superior with Distinction at ABODA and Gilbert District Band Concert Festivals, was featured performing the “Star Spangled Banner” on KOOL FM’s “Noon Salute”, and was awarded $1,000 from Fulton Homes as having the best recording for the month of September. His jazz bands have received Superior ratings at AMEA Jazz Area, NAU Jazz Fest, and in 2018, the Rattler Jazz Band finished in 1st place among Junior High bands and was awarded the “Judge’s Most Outstanding Performance” award at the ASU Highland Jazz Festival. This year, the Rattler Jazz Band was selected to perform at the 2019 Jazz Education Network Conference in Reno, Nevada.
